A smartphone is a mobile phone that has a high level of capabilities, sometimes with computer-like functions. There is no factory standard which determines the meaning of smart phones. For some people, the smart phone is a phone that works using the entire operating system software that provides a standard and fundamental relationship to application developers. For others, just a smart phone is a phone that presents advanced features such as electronic mail, the internet and the ability to read electronic books (e-book) or there is a keyboard (either as finished or linked out) and a VGA connector. In other words, smart phones are tiny computers that have the capability of a phone.

According to David Wood, Executive Vice President of PT Symbian OS, "The smart phone can be distinguished from ordinary mobile phones in two fundamental ways: how they are made and what they can do." Another notion berbedaan emphasis of these two factors
"By using only a smart phone is just the evolution of a level-level evolution, so the possibility of this tool at some point ... will be smaller and we would not call it a phone anymore, but it will be integrated ... the deal here is to make these tools become invisible as possible, between you, and what you want to do, "said Sacha Wunsch-Vincent in the OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development).
Most tools are categorized as a smart phone using a different operating system. In terms of features, most smart phones fully support facilities personal e-mail with complete control functions.
